Salem, MA- Kelleher Construction Company, Inc. of Beverly, MA is once again providing general contracting services to The Salem Mission, a private, not-for profit organization providing outreach services to the homeless located in Salem, MA. 

Kelleher has begun construction on Phase II of the Seeds of Hope Campus Project.  This phase of The Mission’s master plan will include the complete interior and exterior renovation of two existing multi-family residential structures, located at 20 Endicott Street and 7 High Street.  Once completed, these residences, 22 units/8,449 total square feet will serve as supportive housing for chronically homeless individual women and men, many of whom are currently guests of The Mission.   

The renovation of these facilities will include the full demolition of facility interiors, structural upgrades, masonry and roof repairs, and thermal and moisture protection upgrades.  In addition, ADA compliant ramps will be added, as well as upgrades to existing stairs, existing exterior decking, and some exterior windows will also be upgraded.  Finally, electrical, fire protection, HVAC, and plumbing upgrades will be completed for each facility.    In 2005, Kelleher completed Phase I of The Seeds of Hope Campus.  This project included the interior and exterior renovation of the former St. Mary’s youth center, a two-story, 8,600 square foot building located at 56 Margin Street, in Salem.  This newly renovated facility now serves as The Mission’s program center, homeless shelter and food pantry.
