Kelleher Construction Company recently completed the Kaplen Family Building for the National Yiddish Book Center. This 22,000 sf addition houses a state-of-the-art Deposit Library where half-million volumes of the most important artifacts in Yiddish culture are stored, a performing arts theater and the "Yiddish Academy". 

As the construction managers for this project, Kelleher was able to create an environment that was conducive for the existing facility and programs of the Book Center to operate normally.  Working throughout a harsh winter, when spring arrived in Amherst the building was complete.  Besides being visually appealing in its picturesque setting among apple orchards on the Hampshire College campus, it is environmentally friendly featuring highlights such as geothermal heating/cooling.
